Sacred Stone Massage

Hot Stone Massage

Experience the ultimate in luxurious relaxation.

Hot Stone Massage
will melt away all of your cares and stresses with the
delicious warmth of heated basalt stones.

Hot Stone Massage is a form of bodywork that involves the application of heated and/or cooled stones to the body during an oil massage.

What To Expect During A Session

Before you arrive, the therapist sanitizes the stones and heats them in 120 and 150 degree water so that they will be ready to go when you arrive.

During the massage the client will lay on a massage table while covered in their choice of a sheet or oversized towel. Only the area being massaged will be uncovered. The massage uses traditional strokes of Swedish massage while holding heated or cooled stones. As the stone looses it's temperature, the therapist replaces it with another. The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine, or in the palms of your hand, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body. The hot stones melt knots and release tight muscles. Hot Stone Massage is a supremely luxurious treatment, described by those who receive it as "pure bliss", "unbelievable", and "sheer heaven".

If you are experiencing mental or physical stress, sacred stone massage can be extremely effective in relaxing both body and mind. The penetrating heat of the stones begins to induce deep relaxation almost immediately, soothing the nervous system and relieving the effects of stress. Muscle tension eases under the smooth pressure of the stones, allowing circulation to increase. As a result, irritating toxins are flushed away and the flow of healing nutrients is restored to muscles and other tissues, further aiding the release of tension and pain.

Hot Stone massage can be especially helpful for people with Fibromyalgia, Arthritic and Rheumatic conditions, Poor Circulation, Depression, Insomnia, Multiple Sclerosis(subacute stage), as well as those recovering from injuries. It may also help relieve sinus pain and the discomforts of premenstrual syndrome. Athletes find it helps muscles and other tissues recuperate after a strenuous workout.
